The broken gravel streets
Are sad and lonely
Friendly footsteps
Are long since gone
No more shuffled leaves,
Crunched footprints
In the snow
have faded
The road is deserted
Only illuminated
By cold glows from
Frosty boxes behind glass.
No one takes the time,
Or appreciates what's here.
Except for the writer
He's alone too.
